This summer marks the arrival of the second and final act of the indie sci-fi game Ambrosia Sky. During the recent Story-Rich Showcase at Summer Game Fest, developer Soft Rains revealed that Act Two will launch on Steam on August 6. This new content will be available as a free update for existing players who own Act One. For newcomers, the game will be offered at an introductory price of $12 for the complete experience, encompassing both acts. This promotional price will only last for a limited time, after which the full game will retail for $25.
Ambrosia Sky centers on Dalia, a death cleaner stationed at an outpost on Saturn’s rings, where an unknown contamination has devastated the colony. In Act Two, as Dalia uncovers the mystery behind the catastrophic event affecting The Cluster, she continues her quest to find her ex-girlfriend Maeve while performing the solemn duty of laying the deceased to rest and collecting DNA to further research into human immortality.
The developers state, “The final act ties together the significant storylines introduced in Act One while enhancing the gameplay with new mission locations, a variety of exo-fungus types for harvesting and survival, and a redesigned progression system featuring additional upgrades.”
