However, you cannot turn off crossplay for the PC version of the game.
For PC players, crossplay is enabled by default and you can’t disable it.
For consoles like Xbox and PlayStation, crossplay is also enabled by default.
This means that you’ll have a chance of joining a PC lobby.
A PC lobby is unfair because you’ll be playing against mouse and keyboard players while you’re using a controller.
Hence, it makes sense to disable crossplay to prevent your opponent from having an edge over you.
How to turn off crossplay in Overwatch 2
To turn off crossplay in Overwatch 2 for Xbox, you need to block cross-network play from your Xbox settings.
For PS4/PS5, you can disable crossplay in your in-game general gameplay settings.

- Select Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy.
- Select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer.
- Under ” You can join cross-network play”, select “Block”.

- Launch Overwatch 2.
- Press “Options” on your controller.
- Select “Options”.
- Select Gameplay > General > Cross-Platform Play.
- Turn off “Cross-Platform Play” > OK.
