Blanchard is committed to honoring her partner, Ken Urker, after his unexpected death on his birthday. In an extensive Instagram post, Gypsy detailed her creation of “Kenan’s Law,” aimed at addressing persistent online harassment and cyberbullying. She revealed that Ken endured significant scrutiny on social media leading up to his passing. Gypsy pointed out that multiple reports were submitted across various platforms, but each time, the response was, “No violation.”
“Kenan’s Law aims to reform how social media platforms manage repeated harassment reports. A single post may not convey the entire story, but numerous posts, videos, and comments targeting one individual can illustrate a concerning pattern that warrants thorough examination. This initiative is not about suppressing criticism or infringing on anyone’s freedom of expression. Public figures can and should receive critique. public figures are human beings, and celebrity status should never diminish their humanity,” Gypsy articulated.
Gypsy further emphasized that while she cannot alter the past, she is determined to use her voice to advocate for a more effective system. “Ken’s passing has fueled my resolve to turn pain into purpose. I cannot change what happened, but I can fight for a better system for others who feel unheard.”
Circumstances Surrounding Ken Urker’s Passing
As reported by The Shade Room, Ken Urker tragically passed away on October 1 while celebrating his 34th birthday in Louisiana. According to TMZ, Gypsy sent Ken a heartfelt birthday message before her brother Dylan discovered him unresponsive later that day. Gypsy and Ken reportedly rekindled their relationship in April 2024 after she separated from her ex-husband, Ryan Anderson, in March. By December 2024, Gypsy and Ken welcomed their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker.
Revelations from Ken Urker’s Autopsy
On October 2, only a day following Ken’s reported death, officials conducted his autopsy. The Lafourche Parish Coroner’s Office was unable to determine the precise cause of death and will await toxicology results for a clearer conclusion. Meanwhile, Page Six acquired an incident report detailing the circumstances surrounding Urker’s death. The report stated that Ken’s sister, Anita Blanchard, informed authorities that she and other family members had attended church with him on Wednesday, September 30. She also disclosed that Ken had expressed feelings of “depression and upset.” That evening, Ken reportedly engaged in a TikTok Live session but remained silent throughout the broadcast. TMZ also shared footage from the livestream.
