Ed Sheeran Philly Pro-Palestine Coalition Organizes Protest Against Macklemore’s Tour Cancellation

The controversy surrounding Macklemore being removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour continues to escalate. A well-known Pro-Palestine organization in Philadelphia has announced plans for a protest outside Sheeran’s concert this weekend, as reported by TMZ.
The Philly Palestine Coalition, along with another group named Shut Down D&Z, is calling on supporters to gather on September 19 outside the Lincoln Financial Center to stand in solidarity with their cause.

The protest flyer states, “Billionaires, Zionists & Warmongers out of Philly,” reflecting the group’s sentiments regarding the situation.
The coalition criticized Ed for Macklemore’s dismissal, stating it followed the artist’s comments on Palestine during the first two concerts he opened for Ed in New Jersey.

As TMZ reported earlier, Ed Sheeran stated that he did not make the final decision regarding Macklemore’s removal. He clarified that it was the tour promoter who decided after Robert Kraft and several NFL team owners refused to permit Macklemore to perform at their venues.
Kraft explained that he chose not to have Macklemore perform at his stadium due to the artist’s “recent actions” and previous statements that he considered “deeply offensive” to the Jewish community.
