When I engage with a story, I either immerse myself completely or take extended breaks. Right now, I’m fully immersed in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. This exhilarating series, written by Matt Dinniman, consists of eight books (and continues to grow). It follows a man and his ex-girlfriend’s cat as they navigate a life-or-death, magical gameshow set in a post-apocalyptic universe. The plot is outrageous and captivating, and I find myself so enthralled that I’m tempted to splurge on this pinball machine.
Flip N Out Pinball, as reported by CBR, is currently accepting preorders for the incredible Dungeon Crawler Carl pinball machine. This machine is filled with references and characters that will likely bewilder anyone unfamiliar with the series. for dedicated fans, elements like Princess Donut, Samantha, Mongo, safe rooms, and the Desperado Club are included for your enjoyment. Be sure to check it out.
The artwork featured on the machine is created by Luciano Fleitas, the same talent behind the book covers. The entire package is priced at $12,350 plus shipping, which is quite an investment. the detailed craftsmanship justifies the cost.
I’m currently enjoying the fifth book in the series and can’t seem to get enough. If you’re a fan of fantasy RPGs, leveling systems, loot boxes, strange creatures, aliens, magic, unexpected plot twists, and action, Dungeon Crawler Carl delivers on all fronts. there’s an adaptation in progress at Peacock, produced by Seth MacFarlane and others. Will it live up to the brilliance of the books? Only time will tell. At least this pinball machine is already making waves.
