During the hearing, the minor’s mother testified that her child is undergoing extensive therapy to recover from the traumatic experience. Her heartfelt statement was presented in court while Starr sought bond.
“At this age, when he should feel safe, innocent, and protected, he is now forced to cope with trauma that no child should ever have to endure,” the mother stated, as reported by WSB-TV.
Prosecutors alleged that Sidney Starr approached the minor in the hotel lobby, offering him compliments. Following this, the child reportedly entered the elevator with Starr and went to her hotel room. Inside, they allegedly engaged in sexual contact, including sodomy, molestation, and sexual battery, based on Starr’s own admissions.
During the court session, Sidney Starr’s attorney highlighted that she has only one previous traffic citation. the prosecution pointed out her lack of community ties in the Atlanta area, raising concerns about potential intimidation stemming from her status as a reality TV star. Starr has appeared on shows such as ‘Love & Hip Hop’ and Zeus’ ‘Baddies.’ Ultimately, the judge denied the bond request, stating, “At this time, this defendant remains in a no bond status,” according to reports.
