YouTube has unveiled innovative tools powered by artificial intelligence designed to assist channel managers in managing video comments. These tools aim to enhance the understanding of user feedback without the need to sift through each individual response manually.
The new comment filtering features, accessible within YouTube Studio, will simplify the process of locating comments based on broader topics or meanings defined by AI, rather than relying solely on specific keywords for searches.
YouTube elaborated on this update: “You’ll now see a ‘Search’ filter on your Comments page, while the previous exact-match search field has been renamed to ‘Keywords.’”
This new Search functionality enables creators to delve into channel comments by topic. For instance, if there are comments regarding your personal appearance that you prefer to avoid, simply enter a phrase like ‘comments about my appearance’ to quickly collate them for review. YouTube stated, “Or find specific comments, such as ‘questions about my gear’ or ‘people asking for a part 2 video.’”
In essence, channel managers will leverage conversational queries to locate critical discussion points, enabling them to respond, hide, or take other actions as necessary.
Channel managers can utilize suggested topics to swiftly categorize responses into themes like “excitement and enthusiasm” or “negative feedback.”
This tool also enables channel managers to discover similar comments. YouTube explained, “If you spot a specific comment you want to moderate, click the three-dot menu and select ‘Find similar comments’ to instantly locate others with a comparable meaning.”
The introduction of these filters will enhance the ability to manage YouTube comments and engagement effectively, ensuring that essential issues are directly addressed.
