M5 iPad Pro and MacBook Pro Launch Expected This Year

In a recent update shared by Mark Gurman through the newsletter, it has been revealed that Apple is gearing up to launch at least two innovative devices featuring the highly anticipated M5 chip before the year concludes. Gurman indicates that the M5 iPad Pro has successfully reached the advanced stages of testing, suggesting that it is “on track for production in the second half of this year.” Additionally, the M5 MacBook Pro is expected to debut sometime in the fall, aligning perfectly with Apple’s historical release patterns over the past few years. This exciting news indicates a strong commitment from Apple towards advancing their hardware technology and enhancing user experience with more powerful devices.

However, it appears that this year’s iPad Pro will not feature the much-anticipated in-house modem developed by Apple. According to Gurman’s insights, this significant technological shift is projected to occur in 2027, coinciding with the launch of the upcoming M6 models, on which Apple has reportedly commenced preliminary work. Earlier this year, Apple unveiled its first in-house cellular modem, the C1, alongside the iPhone 16e in February, marking a substantial step forward in Apple’s efforts to integrate their own modem technology into future devices.
