As we look ahead to January 2025, YouTube is proud to announce that it has reached an impressive milestone, boasting over 1 billion monthly active viewers engaging with podcasts.
Moreover, the way audiences are consuming YouTube podcasts is evolving beyond traditional methods. In its year-in-review, the company revealed that during 2024, more than 400 million hours of podcast content were enjoyed on “living room devices,” showcasing a shift towards shared listening experiences. Additionally, research from Edison Research indicates that YouTube has become the leading platform for nearly a third of weekly podcast listeners aged 13 and older, highlighting its role as a dominant force in the podcasting world.
