X is engaged on a brand new possibility which might allow customers to pin anything, from lists, to communities, to a search question, in order that they extra simply re-access such within the app.
As you possibly can see in this example, posted by X designer Andrea Conway, X customers might quickly have the capability to pin a number of completely different parts to their house timeline, in order that they’re just some swipes away at any second.
Which might pace up navigation within the app, although it’s a important shift in behavioral course of, which might take some time to catch on.
The previous Twitter workforce had tried swipeable timelines previously, enabling customers to change throughout to completely different feeds extra simply.
However that seemingly hasn’t caught on as a widespread utilization possibility, although the X workforce’s now making an attempt to reinvent the choice, by giving customers the capability to pin not simply lists, but additionally communities, increasing your choices for alternate in-app timelines.
And shortly, that might additionally embrace much more choices.
Will that make these alternate feeds a extra enticing, and interesting possibility?
It nonetheless looks like a minor consideration, and it’ll take an enormous push by the X workforce to lift consciousness, and shift person behaviors on this respect. And with out a devoted communications workforce, I’m unsure how that’s going to occur, however by including extra performance, it might see some utilization development, which might spark extra in-app engagement.
Possibly. I don’t know, it looks like a small change that’s most likely not going to essentially transfer the needle. However X is experimenting with this both method, which might be of worth in your course of.
