In-Depth Insights on Kendrick Lamar’s Groundbreaking ‘GNX’ Album
Kendrick Lamar’s surprise album ‘GNX’ created quite a stir on social media just before the Thanksgiving holiday. One of the standout moments from the album is Kendrick’s bold references to prominent figures in the rap industry, including Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg, particularly in relation to Drake’s ‘Taylor Made Freestyle.’ This move was especially significant given Kendrick’s ongoing discussions with Lil Wayne, who has openly expressed his disappointment regarding Kendrick headlining the halftime show at the 2025 Super Bowl in his own backyard of New Orleans. Despite any friction, Kendrick boldly opens his album with the track ‘wacced out murals,’ where he addresses Wayne’s lack of acknowledgment of his accomplishments.
“I used to bump ‘Tha Carter 3’, I held my Rollie chain proud. Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down.” He continued with “Got the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me, all these ns agitated I’m just glad it’s on they faces.”
