Recent reports from The New York Times reveal alarming news that critical documents and workstations at the US Treasury Department were compromised during a sophisticated cyberattack. This incident has been traced back to a threat actor believed to be sponsored by the Chinese state, marking it as a significant cybersecurity breach that raises concerns about national security and data integrity.

This highlights the vulnerabilities present in systems reliant on external support.
The Treasury Department has since collaborated with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the FBI</b
