This change encompasses a wide range of content, including images, files, and audio or video recordings. Essentially, if you upload a photo to Google Lens for visual searches, Google can utilize that image. The same rule applies to any audio associated with Google voice searches and files uploaded to Google Translate. Fortunately, personal content stored in Google Photos remains unaffected for the time being.
By default, all users are automatically enrolled in this data collection initiative. As generative AI systems require substantial data to function effectively, the demand for user-generated content is ever-increasing. there is a way to safeguard your images and videos from being accessed by large corporations.
To opt out, you need to modify specific settings in your Google account. Start by navigating to the dedicated Search Services History page and uncheck the “Save Media” option. Following that, visit the Search Services Personalization page to ensure that no data is being saved. Completing these steps will effectively protect your uploads. if you want to disable AI-generated overview results, simply include “-AI” before your search query.
