YouTube is currently experimenting with an innovative feature known as “comment threading” specifically designed for YouTube Premium subscribers. This update aims to enhance user interaction and engagement, while the platform also introduces exciting new functionalities to its AI-driven “Dream Track” music feature.
To elaborate on the comment threading functionality, this new feature is intended to streamline the process of following discussions by linking replies directly to the original comment within a cohesive thread. As illustrated in the accompanying image, when comment threading is activated, users will have the ability to tap on a comment to explore the entire conversation related to that specific reply, all presented within a single, user-friendly comment tree. This enhancement promises to enrich the interaction experience on the platform.
According to a statement from YouTube:
“Comment threading provides a more focused reading experience and helps users easily understand conversations. Click on the ‘X replies’ button under a comment and view threaded replies in the ‘Replies’ panel. Only available on iOS and Android.”
