Despite filing for divorce days before Thanksgiving, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker managed to spend the holiday season together. From Turkey Day to Christmas and seemingly New Year’s Day, the estranged couple didn’t miss a beat. Kandi has previously clarified that they’re trying to make the transition for their kids, Ace and Blaze, as smooth as possible. But after Todd shared a New Year’s Day family photo, fans are speculating that there might be hope for the 11-year marriage! Meanwhile, Kandi is leaning heavily into her own vision for 2026.

Todd Tucker Plans For More Family Time In 2026

As mentioned, a divorce didn’t stop Kandi and Todd from celebrating in November and December. First, they reunited for Blaze’s 6th birthday. Then, they spent Thanksgiving together in one home—even though he missed the family photo. Then, there was her interview ahead of Christmas. Despite joking about divorce being on her wish list, Kandi revealed she, Todd and the kids planned to celebrate in NYC together.

Fast-forward to New Year’s Day, and it appears the family was still in bonding mode! Tucker shared footage of Kandi, Ace and Blaze enjoying time at an indoor water park. But his caption is what had fans up in arms with questions, chile!

“Happy New Year! Here’s my first SCHEME of 2026! Create and enjoy moments w/ family. The Tuckers,” he wrote.

Kandi Burruss Is Sticking To Positivity In 2026 

Unlike Todd Tucker, Kandi Burruss didn’t include her estranged husband in her New Year’s Eve recap post. Instead, she shared a video of a balloon drop at the same indoor water park Todd shared. She also shared a photo with Ace and Blaze, and another of a hat branded with, “Happy New Year.”

“It’s not even 10pm & we already celebrated the new year & I’m probably gonna be sleep by midnight! 😂 I pray that 2026 brings BIG BLESSINGS & true joy to everyone reading this! Positive vibes only. Looking forward to elevating & accomplishing everything I set out to do! Love yall! Happy New Year,” Kandi said in her caption.

Hours after Todd’s NYD post, Kandi circled back to the ‘gram with a video message. She showed Ace and Blaze in it, asking them to say “Happy New Year.” Then, Burruss talked about positivity being her vibe in 2026.

“…I’m only here for positive vibes, positive energy, and elevating in 2026. This is going to be an interesting but very beautiful year of transformation and elevation. Well, at least for me. I hope the same for you. I only want good people around me, with good energy who are on what I’m on.”

She shared a similar message in her caption, writing, “Positive vibes, transformation & elevation!!! That’s what I’m on for 2026!” 

Social Media Roots For Todd & Kandi After Family Photo

While Kandi hasn’t weighed in on Todd’s family time “scheme,” the internet sure is! Over 2,500 peers and fans slid into the comment section of Tucker’s NYD recap post. Plenty of supporters applauded his energy in the caption, encouraging him to fight for his marriage.

As previously reported, Todd has already responded to Kandi’s divorce petition. A day before Thanksgiving, he filed a petition seeking a custody agreement. If they’re unable to settle, the father plans to fight for primary custody of Ace and Blaze, along with joint legal custody and final decision-making authority. He’s also contesting their prenup agreement. In response, Kandi Burruss filed an amended petition. In addition to claiming the prenup was legit, she now wants joint physical and legal custody, with primary custody of their six and nine-year-old.
