Lawsuit Alleges Cousin Shares Blame for Aaliyah’s Fatal Plane Crash
As outlined in lawsuit documents obtained by TMZ, Barry Hankerson asserts that his son, Jomo Hankerson, was responsible for organizing travel arrangements for Aaliyah’s music video shoot in the Bahamas. Barry contends that Jomo’s negligence in planning led to the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
Following the completion of the music shoot, Aaliyah arranged for a private flight back to Florida after Jomo purportedly did not fulfill his duty to coordinate her travel. The aircraft tragically crashed shortly after departing from Marsh Harbor Airport, resulting in the loss of all lives on board.
