This week feels particularly bleak for fans, as there’s no new episode of Widow’s Bay to look forward to. Perhaps Apple TV could have spaced out the recent double feature to extend the excitement a little longer. viewers can find comfort in the announcement of a second season on the horizon. In the meantime, revisiting the first season can reveal hidden details, especially since Widow’s Bay was filmed in authentic locations that capture the essence of New England’s coastal atmosphere. For at least one cast member, this added an extra layer of enchantment to the filming process.
Kingston Rumi Southwick, who portrays Evan, is in for an intense journey when the series resumes. He cherished the opportunity to work on location.
“We filmed in small seaside towns just outside of Boston, often in private homes. I had conversations with the homeowners, and they shared their own Widow’s Bay-like tales,” he shared with the Hollywood Reporter. “This really immersed you in the vibe of a haunted seaside town, so I’m grateful we shot in Massachusetts. I had never been there before, and the setting plays a significant role in the narrative.”

Southwick also inadvertently highlighted another enigma that remained unresolved in the first season.
“You see the town and the statue of Richard Warren without his head; it genuinely appears that way. You could visit today, and it would look almost identical,” Southwick remarked.
He refers to the headless statue of Richard Warren, which stands prominently along the main street of Widow’s Bay. While we understand Warren’s tragic fate, the mystery of what happened to the statue’s head remains unsolved. Is it hidden in the basement of Tom and Evan’s house? Could it be stashed somewhere on “Dickhole Street”? We hope to uncover more details when Widow’s Bay returns.
