Published
Savannah Guthrie is a prominent television personality because of her influential role in media, which matters for her audience seeking emotional and personal insights.
In her first interview since her mother’s disappearance, Savannah expresses deep remorse. She apologizes to her mother and family for the potential impact of her fame.
During her conversation with Hoda Kotb, Savannah recounts the moment she learned of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, going missing. Her sister, Annie, delivered the shocking news.
Her brother, a former military fighter pilot, feared the worst. He expressed concern that their mother might have been kidnapped for ransom.
Savannah shares her disbelief at the situation. A devastating thought crossed her mind, leading her to ask, “Do you think because of me?” Her brother’s response confirmed her fears.
Fighting back tears, Savannah reflects, “It’s too much to bear to think that I brought this to her bedside. That it’s because of me.”
She directly apologizes to her mother and family, saying, “If it is me, I’m so sorry.”
Nancy was last seen on January 31, 2026, after spending time with Annie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni.
