Rob Lowe is sharing his favourite Tom Cruise story … and it ends with Rob being knocked out chilly.
The actor says he and Tom used to field after they had been youngsters filming “The Outsiders” means again within the day … and Tom received the higher of him in a single memorable sparring session.
The Wealthy Eisen Present
As Rob lately defined on “The Wealthy Eisen Present” … he was 17 years previous and Tom was 18 after they filmed the film collectively. He says they might work out, jog and field collectively whereas they had been holed up in a lodge on location … and the testosterone was flowing.
Rob says the sparring matches had been intense and aggressive … full with headgear and mouthpieces … and Rob says Tom as soon as knocked him out of their lodge’s hallway.
Whereas Rob says he had “pipe cleaner” arms again then, he recollects Tom being completely jacked and a “beast.” He says he landed a reasonably good punch and rang Tom’s bell throughout one sparring session after which, the subsequent factor he realized, he was waking up on the bottom.
Rob says after he landed the primary punch, Tom’s eyes went black … and TC knocked him out.
No unhealthy blood right here … Rob says they had been simply boys being boys, like “Struggle Membership” apparently.
