As we eagerly await the release of Avengers: Doomsday in just a few months, a wave of exciting merchandise is set to accompany its debut. Collectors, in particular, will be thrilled to learn that figures of iconic characters are on the way, starting with the formidable Doctor Doom. Hot Toys initially unveiled a detailed figure during San Diego Comic-Con, but fans can anticipate even more options to enhance their collections.
This 1/6th scale collectible of Doom showcases him in a “tailored ensemble crafted for travel and agility without compromising his regal presence.” The figure features a textured hooded cloak equipped with bendable wire, allowing for dynamic posing. it includes interchangeable hands that enable you to portray his commanding demeanor or depict him preparing to unleash powerful magic. One set of hands is surrounded by striking black-and-green crackling effects, accompanied by accessories that resemble green flames.
If you prefer not to have the ruler of Latveria in your collection—though who could truly claim to own such a character?—you might opt for a classic hero instead. Enter Steve Rogers, represented in Hot Toys’ 1/6th scale figure based on Chris Evans’ portrayal. This figure comes with a reforged Mjolnir and a stylish jacket perfect for colder weather. It also boasts four pairs of interchangeable hands and two pairs of interchangeable arms for varied display options.
At the time of this writing, Hot Toys has not disclosed the pricing for either of the Avengers: Doomsday figures. Both characters will have premium editions; Steve’s version includes a diorama base themed around Sentinels and a life-size metal ring. Meanwhile, Doom’s standard figure will be limited to just 3,000 units in select markets, with pre-orders for both figures set to launch soon.
