Exciting Black Friday deals are heating up, showcasing remarkable discounts on MacBooks. A standout offer features the M3 MacBook Air, which we proudly recommend as the ultimate laptop for the majority of users, especially college students. Currently, Amazon is offering this impressive notebook equipped with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for just $849, reflecting a substantial savings of $250 off its standard price. This deal presents an excellent opportunity for those seeking a reliable and efficient laptop for academic or everyday tasks.
While the $849 option provides the base storage capacity, additional configurations are also available at discounted prices. For instance, a model featuring 8GB of RAM and a larger 512GB SSD is listed for $999. However, we highly recommend opting for at least 16GB of memory to ensure optimal performance. It’s important to note that upgrading the RAM is not an option in the Apple Silicon MacBook, but users can still enhance their storage capabilities through external options if needed.
Recently, Apple introduced its first M4-powered Macs, but the latest chip has not yet been incorporated into the MacBook Air. The 13-inch MBA strikes an impressive balance between power and portability, making it an exceptional choice for various users. Our detailed review awarded it a score of 90, praising its swift performance and stunning display quality. The design is not only sleek but also robust, and the audio experience is enhanced by a sophisticated quad-speaker array. Additionally, we appreciate the responsiveness of the trackpad and keyboard, along with the upgrade to Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, which provides faster internet speeds and improved wireless performance.
We believe that our selection for the best laptop for most users is currently on sale. The 13-inch MacBook Air featuring an M3 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage is now available at a record low price.

One minor drawback worth mentioning is that all the USB-C ports are situated on the same side as the charger port. Having even one USB-C port on the right side would enhance usability significantly. Nonetheless, this is a trivial complaint considering the overall excellence of the laptop.
If you’re open to considering a slightly older yet equally capable model, the M2 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is currently priced at $749, thanks to a clippable coupon. This model offers great value for those who still want a powerful device without the latest chip.
