Aaron Phypers, the estranged husband of actress Denise Richards, has leveled serious accusations against her regarding infidelity during their marriage. He claims to possess evidence that substantiates his allegations of an affair.
The Canadian actor, who initiated divorce proceedings from the famed “Wild Things” star earlier this month, revealed in a recent interview that he discovered what he believes to be proof of Richards’ romantic involvement with another man in early 2025.
During his conversation with TMZ, Phypers disclosed that he stumbled upon messages on Richards’ laptop that were exchanged with her alleged lover. These texts purportedly included plans for a clandestine meeting at a resort, where Richards allegedly suggested sneaking him into her room.
When Phypers confronted Richards about the suspected cheating, they reportedly decided to try and stay together. However, their relationship faced another tumultuous moment on July 4, leading to an explosive argument that ultimately marked the end of their marriage.
A representative for Richards has not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comments regarding the cheating allegations.
These latest claims from Phypers emerge shortly after the former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” aged 54, was granted a restraining order against her estranged husband, citing abuse allegations.
In court documents obtained by Page Six, Richards detailed numerous violent confrontations with Phypers, including threats of violence towards both her and himself if she reported him to authorities.
“Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently engage in violent behavior, such as choking me, squeezing my head with both hands, tightly gripping my arms, and even slapping my face and head. He would aggressively smash my head into the bathroom towel rack,” the actress was quoted as saying.
Richards also accused Phypers, aged 52, of injuring her during one of his alleged assaults in 2022, resulting in a bruise around her eye.
However, a source close to Phypers countered Richards’ accusations, telling the Daily Mail that the actress’ black eye was actually the result of her purported “alcohol problem.”
“This aligns with Denise Richards’ ongoing dishonesty, as she attempts to conceal her alcohol issues,” the insider claimed to the outlet on Thursday.
“The photograph showing her injury was taken in winter 2022, and she was under the influence of alcohol at the time, having fallen while trying to ascend the stairs to Aaron’s now-closed medical clinic, Q360.”
Phypers has also publicly denied the allegations of abuse, referring to them as “rumors and speculation” in an official statement.
The former couple has a restraining order hearing scheduled for August 8.
Just two weeks before Richards filed for divorce, Phypers sought to legally dissolve their marriage after six years, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation, marking July 4 as their date of separation.
Additionally, Phypers has requested that the court grant him spousal support during this legal process.
A source recently revealed to the Daily Mail that the relationship between Richards and Phypers had become “toxic,” characterized by constant arguments and conflict.
“They have been experiencing issues for some time, but an explosive argument over the weekend prompted Phypers to say, ‘Forget you,’ and he immediately went to file for divorce,” the insider disclosed.
Richards and Phypers exchanged vows in September 2018, and notably, they have no children together.
