As reported by Law & Crime, police were dispatched on February 22 to an urgent call concerning a “pulseless non-breathing child” at a local apartment complex. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found McCall and Davis on the porch while their infant was rushed to the hospital. Despite the medical team’s efforts to resuscitate the child, the baby was sadly pronounced dead, leading to an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.

According to police reports, Christina Davis recounted her day to the authorities, explaining that she had gone to work and returned home to find her older daughter being punished. While Kevin McCall was reportedly preoccupied with fixing his video game controller, Davis went to check on her younger child. To her horror, she found the baby “stiff” with eyes “rolling back into their head.” She and McCall immediately called 911, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

Charges Filed Against Wisconsin Parents Kevin McCall and Christina Davis for Child Neglect

According to Law & Crime, during her conversation with the police, Christina Davis confessed that she had not fed or changed the baby’s diaper on that fateful day. Furthermore, Kevin McCall admitted that he failed to check on the baby while Davis was at work. Law enforcement noted that when the child was discovered at the hospital, the baby was “covered in urine and feces,” raising alarming red flags about the child’s living conditions.

As the investigation progressed, police interviewed Davis’ older daughter, who revealed that the parents often asked her to supervise the baby. The daughter went on to allege that the day prior to this tragic incident, Davis had prepared a bottle for the baby that allegedly contained “medicine” intended to make the child “pass out.” This “medicine” was reportedly identified as a bottle of whiskey, further complicating the case against the parents.
