Overwatch 2 says “Player is in a different version of Overwatch” because you’re not using the beta version of Battle.net.

  1. Exit Overwatch 2.
  2. Launch Battle.net.
  3. Click on the Battle.net logo.
  4. Select “Settings”.
  5. Select “Beta”.
  6. Click on the “Switch to Beta” button.

After you’ve clicked on the “Switch to Beta” button, the client will restart.

Lastly, launch Overwatch 2 and you will be able to play with your friends.
