Are you in the 1000, 4000, or 40000 login queue in Overwatch 2?
If so, it means that the server is full and you need to wait for your queue number to access it.
Overwatch 2 was released on October 4, 2022.
Since its release, the game has had multiple known issues.
Some of the known issues are server disconnection, cosmetics, items, currency not showing up, and others.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to fix “In Queue: Players ahead of you” in Overwatch 2.
Why are there so many players in the Overwatch 2 queue?
There are so many players in the Overwatch 2 queue because the region/server is full.
As a result, you’ll be put on the waiting list to access it.
There’s a limit to how many players can join a server at one time.
This is because the game’s servers can only handle a limited amount of traffic before it crashes.
Many players are complaining about the long queue time on Twitter.
“I thought about checking out Overwatch 2, but there are 800 people in the queue ahead of me and it disconnected”.
“Me watching the queue in Overwatch 2 going from 30k to 40k after I’ve been waiting for hours”.
“I don’t even wanna play Overwatch but I’m in the queue just to take away someone else’s spot and contribute to the high queue times”.
How to Fix “In Queue: Players ahead of you” in Overwatch 2
To fix “In Queue: Players ahead of you” in Overwatch 2, you need to change your region.
For example, if you’ve selected the “Americas” region, you can change it to “Asia”.
Asia is typically less crowded than the Americas.
Here’s how to change your region:
- Exit Overwatch 2.
- Launch Battle.net and select “Overwatch 2”.
- Click on the globe icon.
- Change your region to another one (e.g. from the Americas to Asia).
- Launch Overwatch 2.
If the region that you’ve selected still has a long queue time, change to another region again.
Try changing between Asia, Europe, and the Americas to see which one has the fastest queue time.
