The police revealed that the incident on August 1 started with a report of shoplifting around 10 AM. Officers arrived at the scene, gathered witness statements, and examined security footage, but the suspect had already fled the area.
The situation escalated rapidly online when footage showed the man exiting the Ross store with multiple suitcases, backpacks, and purses while the store’s alarm sounded loudly.
An elderly woman then followed him into the parking lot and allegedly pointed a handgun at him, transforming the alleged shoplifting incident into a much more serious potential assault case.
