Yesterday’s Gran Turismo 7 recreation replace 1.49 launched all-new physics which have added further realism and usually improved gameplay. Nevertheless, the change can be inflicting some weird issues in particular conditions, making automobiles bounce violently or simply get hurled into the air.
The physics updates are typically constructive, including “extra pure cornering physics and acceleration/deceleration stability ranges,” in line with the developer. Related adjustments to tire physics and steering enable a tougher and rewarding driving expertise general.
Nevertheless, some bugs seem to have crept in as properly, in line with gtplanet and posts on Reddit’s r/granturismo. Excessive-horsepower automobiles, typically with engine swaps and excessive suspension settings, are actually flying, bouncing or intersecting with the bottom, in line with a number of (hilarious) movies.
The issue seems to occur when automobiles attempt to speed up from low speeds, and principally impacts automobiles underneath AI management. It additionally occurs throughout dynamic “Scapes Films” scenes designed to point out off landscapes from automobiles operated at sluggish speeds by AI. It is even been seen in GT Auto’s garages.
It is clearly a bizarre z-axis programming bug, however Gran Turismo’s crew is conscious of the problem and dealing on it. “We at the moment are conscious of the next challenge within the 1.49 Replace launched on July 25: Automotive Physics Simulation — Unintended automobile habits is produced when a specific automobile setting is about inside Automotive Settings,” devs mentioned in a post on X. A repair must be prepared quickly, so benefit from the comedy whereas it lasts.
