UFC Fighter Sean Sharaf Unveils Gable Steveson’s Underestimation … I Refuse to Be a ‘Sacrificial Lamb’

Sean Sharaf achieved one of the most astonishing upsets in UFC history, and the rising MMA star claims that Gable Steveson never anticipated it!
The 33-year-old engaged in a candid discussion with Babcock shortly after delivering a stunning knockout to the Olympic gold medalist in just 12 seconds during UFC 331 in Los Angeles. Sharaf expressed that Steveson appeared overconfident, acting as though he had already secured victory before the bout even began.
“He participated in an [Real American Freestyle] match just a month prior, and that’s when I realized,” Sean stated. “He was in fight camp and planning to compete in another event.”
Sharaf referred to Steveson’s match on August 22, where Gable won decisively, but Sean emphasizes that Steveson wasn’t entirely focused on their upcoming MMA fight.
Sean felt a sense of urgency because he believed his UFC career was at stake.
“I was on the verge of being cut; everyone was saying things like, he even mentioned in his interview, ‘He’s a sacrificial lamb,’ ‘He’s a coward,’ ‘He’s looking for a way out,’ and I’m like, ‘Listen, I signed up for this fight. I signed the contract. I am absolutely going to show up on fight night, and I am here to win.”

“This serves as a reminder that you can’t underestimate anyone. As I said, he has two hands, two legs, he bleeds red, and anyone can be caught, especially in the UFC.”
Gable was a significant favorite heading into the fight, with odds around -2500, meaning a $2,500 bet would yield only a $100 profit. In contrast, Sean’s odds were approximately +1000, indicating that a $100 wager could return a $1,000 profit.
In just twelve seconds, Sharaf knocked out the Olympic champion, and Gable left the Octagon before Sharaf’s hand was raised in victory.
