Finesse2tymes has found himself back in federal custody, with prosecutors asserting that his recent arrest for terroristic threats in Texas constitutes a breach of his supervised release conditions. This situation has raised significant concerns about the implications for his legal standing and future.
The rapper’s legal representative, Carl A. Moore, has informed TMZ that Finesse surrendered to the authorities on Friday and is currently in federal custody. This development is crucial as it may affect the outcome of ongoing legal proceedings surrounding his supervised release.
According to legal documents acquired by TMZ, prosecutors are claiming that Finesse violated the conditions of his supervised release on three separate occasions. Notably, they allege that he failed two drug tests, one in 2022 and another in 2024, both of which reportedly resulted in positive tests for marijuana, indicating a disregard for the stipulations of his release.
The other alleged violation pertains to his recent arrest for terroristic threats that took place in Texas earlier this year, adding another layer of complexity to his legal challenges and raising questions about his behavior during supervised release.
We previously reported that a warrant for Finesse’s arrest was issued due to an alleged incident in October 2024 involving King, a child star whom Finesse2tymes was mentoring. This incident is pivotal, as it may have significant legal ramifications for Finesse.
According to the claims made by King’s guardian, Finesse allegedly displayed a gun concealed under his shirt and made a threatening statement suggesting he would “up that fire,” a phrase rooted in Memphis slang referring to brandishing a firearm. This allegation adds to the severity of the accusations he faces.
The woman accusing Finesse2tymes reported to authorities that she believed he was entirely capable of executing the threat he made, expressing a profound fear for her life. This testimony underscores the serious nature of the allegations against him.
In a conversation we had with Moore back in January, he firmly denied that Finesse ever threatened anyone and expressed confidence that this matter would be resolved fairly once the state of Texas applies the appropriate law to the circumstances of the case.
Finesse2tymes has been on supervised release since July 2022, following his release from prison after serving over three and a half years of a five-year sentence for gun possession as a former felon. His current legal troubles could jeopardize this status and lead to further consequences.
Finesse’s next court hearing is slated for May 8, which will be a crucial moment in determining the future of his legal standing.
