Owen Hayes, a baseball player associated with the institution, has been reported by law enforcement as the individual who assaulted an 84-year-old man at a bar in California. Following this incident, he is no longer enrolled at The Master’s University.
Hayes actively participated in the baseball program at The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, California, until this week when he voluntarily surrendered to authorities at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. He was subsequently booked on a charge of felony assault, reflecting the serious nature of the allegations against him.

In a statement provided to TMZ, the university confirmed, “The individual in question is no longer enrolled at The Master’s University. The institution takes any violations of its standards and biblical values very seriously.”
TMU is a private, non-denominational Christian university that emphasizes a strong moral code. The institution asserts, “In instances of violations, we follow established protocols to ensure that appropriate actions are taken decisively. We are thankful that such conduct is exceedingly rare among our students, who aspire to honor the Lord in their lives.”
With Hayes’ departure from the university, it is clear that he will no longer participate in college baseball for TMU, as evidenced by the removal of his player profile from the TMU baseball online roster.
As previously reported … surveillance footage from inside Doc’s Inn, a local dive bar in Santa Clarita, displays an individual, identified by authorities as Hayes, aggressively approaching an elderly patron and delivering a punch that sent the victim crashing to the ground.
The victim, reportedly a regular patron of the bar, was knocked unconscious due to the brutal assault and required hospitalization for his injuries.
The article detailing the incident involving the college baseball player arrested for assaulting an elderly man at a bar has since been published on Allcelebrities.
