In recent years, Story Kitchen has successfully developed adaptations for popular franchises like Tomb Raider and Sonic. Their current project list includes adaptations of other notable games such as Just Cause and Sifu. Given the current trend of successful video game adaptations, Expedition 33 stands a promising chance of becoming a reality. Founders Dmitri M. Johnson and Mike Goldberg highlighted the game’s “compelling narrative and complex characters,” emphasizing that these elements create a robust foundation for a cinematic project that can appeal to both avid gamers and film enthusiasts alike.
