Brandi Glanville, a former star of ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, is facing a serious cyber threat. A hacker is demanding thousands in bitcoin, prompting her to contact the FBI for assistance.
Reports indicate that a representative for Glanville filed two complaints with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, a specialized division of the FBI focused on internet-related criminal activities.
The complaint reveals that Glanville’s doctor, Dr. Ariel Ourian, received a suspicious text from a Michigan area code. The text falsely claimed to be from Glanville, expressing gratitude for medical care.
Ourian responded, noting that she had a different contact number for Glanville. This prompted the impersonator to claim they had changed carriers and provided a new number.
In another report, Glanville’s team stated that she received an email from someone claiming to possess her passwords, banking details, and contacts.
The hacker demanded ,500 in bitcoin, threatening to “wreak havoc” if their demands were not met. Sources close to Glanville revealed that she was preoccupied with health issues and initially ignored the threats.
However, Glanville later discovered unauthorized use of her credit cards in Ukraine, which she suspects is linked to the hacking incident. She is actively working with her bank to resolve these issues.
