Recent videos circulating on social media suggest that fans of the Egyptian national team faced heightened security measures ahead of a FIFA World Cup match in Atlanta. representatives from the stadium are disputing these claims.

A spokesperson for the Mercedes-Benz Arena informed TMZ that the video depicting soccer fans entering the stadium for the Round of 16 match between Egypt and Argentina has been misinterpreted.

While social media users assert that Egyptian fans were subjected to pat downs while Argentine fans were allowed to pass through freely, stadium representatives clarify that the Egyptian fans were part of an organized supporter group. they underwent additional checks for prohibited items like fireworks.
