The Hisense A10 is an exciting new E Ink Android smartphone featuring dual screens, including a detachable one. This device boasts a 6.13-inch E Ink touchscreen as its primary display, designed to provide a paper-like experience ideal for reading and taking notes, much like popular eReaders such as the Kindle Scribe. The detachable component is a color LCD screen that conveniently snaps onto the back of the phone using magnets. For those who prefer a minimalist approach, the detachable display is optional; you can purchase the device without it if you wish. The main model is expected to support 5G connectivity and will operate on Android 16.
Hisense isn’t the only brand venturing into dual-screen technology. Bigme, another Chinese manufacturer, has recently initiated a crowdfunding campaign for the HiBreak Dual 2, which features a similar setup with an E Ink main display coupled with a color LCD on the back. Notably, the E Ink display on the HiBreak can switch between black and white and color modes.
As per reports from Good E Reader, the Hisense A10 may run on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with prices starting around $590. This pricing likely pertains to the model with just the E Ink display, with additional costs for the detachable LCD. While the Hisense A10 might not officially launch in the US market, interested buyers may find opportunities to import it through various Chinese e-commerce platforms, especially if the combination of E Ink and detachable displays piques their interest.
