Anthony Leonard Platt, known professionally as DJ Unk, began his journey in the late 1990s. He was pivotal in forming Southern Style DJs alongside fellow DJs DJ Montay and DJ Jelly, organizing vibrant parties throughout Georgia. In 2000, his talent was recognized when he signed with Big Oomp Records, marking the beginning of a fruitful career in the music industry.
One of Unk’s most celebrated achievements was his platinum-selling single “Walk It Out” from the 2006 album “Beat’n Down Yo Block!” This track not only resonated with fans but also made a significant impact on the charts, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
