Deondre Burgin Arrested on Warrant While Washing Car

Fresh legal issues are rising for Skai Jackson’s former partner Deondre Burgin. According to reports from TMZ, he has been apprehended once again, this time due to an existing warrant while he was washing a car that he was not authorized to drive! This latest incident sheds light on his ongoing struggles with the law, particularly in relation to his driving privileges and legal obligations.

Here’s the latest update … On July 14, while at a Kentucky gas station, Deondre was seen scrubbing his vehicle when police patrols conducted a routine check on his license plate. This practice is common in Kenton County, KY, as confirmed by a representative from the Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office. Unfortunately for Deondre, this check led to the discovery of an outstanding warrant, resulting in his immediate arrest.

According to the spokesperson, the license plate check indicated that Deondre had an active warrant from Hamilton County, Ohio. Consequently, law enforcement officials apprehended him without delay, highlighting the serious nature of his legal troubles.

The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office informed TMZ that on March 6, Deondre received a citation for failing to reinstate his driver’s license and improperly displaying his license plate after being pulled over near Cincinnati. He was scheduled to appear in court on May 5 but failed to show up, which resulted in a warrant being issued for his arrest two days later.

It’s worth noting that just a few months ago, in May, Skai filed for a restraining order in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleging that Deondre had assaulted her while she was holding their 3-month-old son, Kasai. She urged the court to enforce a no-contact order, demanding that he remain at least 100 yards away from her for her safety and the safety of their child.

In the court documents, Skai detailed a troubling history of violence, stating that she endured a six-month period in 2024 during which Deondre allegedly subjected her to weekly abuse. She described incidents of choking, scratching, and even being slammed into walls, painting a harrowing picture of her experiences with him.

As previously reported, Deondre is no stranger to legal issues. He was arrested back in April on an outstanding warrant, and notably, when Skai gave birth in January, he was serving a 90-day sentence for a parole violation. His ongoing legal challenges raise serious concerns about his ability to fulfill parental responsibilities.
