On Friday, August 14, NLE Choppa took to Instagram to preview his new song ‘Dear Mama.’ In a moving display, he broke down in tears while rapping along to this emotional tribute. Alongside the snippet, he expressed his heartfelt apologies to his mother for not always demonstrating his appreciation for her unconditional support.
“I want to apologize for not being more grateful for having a woman like you in my life. You’ve stood by yo baby boy through his toughest of battles. Never forsaken me, never spoke bad on me, and even when you didn’t understand still supported me. You are THE TRUE embodiment of a mother and I’d pick you every lifetime momma. I love you you are appreciated,” he wrote.
This post followed his recent announcement of being baptized and sharing insights on how faith has transformed his life. Around the same period, Choppa made headlines for confronting NBA YoungBoy, Pooh Shiesty, and other artists he accused of imitating his unique style.
