DDG recently responded to a critical comment from an X (formerly Twitter) user regarding his decision to share images of his son, Halo, online. This interaction unfolded on November 2, as the streamer took to the platform to address the negativity directed at him.
DDG’s Witty Response to Criticism About Sharing His Son’s Photos
Despite Halo’s mother, Halle Bailey, choosing to maintain a low profile throughout her pregnancy, DDG has opted for a different approach by keeping their son in the public eye. After months of speculation about Bailey’s pregnancy, the couple made the exciting announcement in January that they had welcomed their first child. Following this, both DDG and Halle shared various adorable photos of their son, but the much-anticipated first glimpse of Halo’s face didn’t occur until July, capturing the hearts of their followers.
Even though Halo’s parents are no longer in a relationship, DDG continues to provide glimpses into his life as a father. So, when X user @vjrrma decided to leave a negative comment on one of DDG’s recent posts featuring Halo, the dedicated father did not hold back in his measured yet firm response! On November 2, he shared a delightful edited image of Halo beaming joyfully at a chocolate cupcake, opting not to include any caption. Among the over 90 comments, @vjrrma remarked, “Stop using your son for fame you weirdo.”
“I never understood this narrative when my son can’t even talk yet. He’s ‘famous’ rn because of his parents. If ur dad posted you when u were young, no one would care lol,” the streamer articulated in his reply.

In addition to sharing photos of Halo, both parents recently showcased their creative side by celebrating the infant’s first Halloween. DDG and Halo dressed up as the iconic father-son duo from ‘The Incredibles,’ while Halle Bailey and Halo donned costumes inspired by Disney’s beloved characters Lilo and Stitch, highlighting their family spirit and creativity during the festive season.

While Halle Bailey has yet to publicly respond to her ex-boyfriend’s social media posts featuring their son, she previously addressed the issue of online negativity in September. During that time, she bravely called out trolls who made disparaging comments about both their child and her burgeoning career. Although the post has since been removed, Halle firmly stated that she stands against “every negative word” aimed at her family, showcasing her commitment to protecting her son’s image and her own integrity.
