Cybertruck buyers say they’ve been told deliveries are paused due windshield wiper problems

Some Cybertruck consumers who have been scheduled to obtain their new vehicles this week have been advised they’ll have to attend a short time longer as the corporate addresses a security situation with the windshield wiper motor. Tesla hasn’t publicly confirmed any such issues or issued an official recall, however quite a few commenters on the Cybertruck House owners Membership discussion board and Reddit stated they have been notified that deliveries have been halted and their pickup dates have been pushed again every week.

This follows reviews from Cybertruck homeowners who’ve stated that the windshield wiper failed on them, in some instances nearly instantly after the truck was picked up. Tesla beforehand needed to pause Cybertruck deliveries this spring, when it issued a recall over defective accelerator pedals that might get caught. The issue affected round 3,878 Cybertruck autos. On this case, the repair was pretty easy (putting in a rivet) and deliveries resumed quickly after.
