Carrot Top Hospital Release Announcement … Returning Home to Family
Published | Updated
Great news for Carrot Top … the comedian has successfully been discharged from the hospital and is on the mend, as confirmed by TMZ.
A reliable source revealed that Carrot is now “home with his family and doing well.” The news was first reported by PEOPLE.
According to TMZ’s initial report, Carrot attempted suicide and was critically injured following a call regarding a “suspected overdose” at his Las Vegas residence on September 18.
As detailed in a police report obtained by TMZ, law enforcement arrived at the scene and found Carrot — breathing but unconscious — next to a pool in his backyard.
The report indicates that Carrot’s manager had informed him about a news article that accused him of inappropriate behavior.
In response, Carrot expressed that his career was coming to an end and he hoped that a third party and her daughter would be “okay without him,” as reported by the police.
Carrot then reportedly texted his manager, stating he was “Done.” When the manager was unable to reach Carrot again, he contacted the authorities to check on him at home.
A woman who went to check on Carrot also called 911, and her anxious voice can be heard in dispatch audio, reporting that Carrot was awake but “passing out,” with his eyes rolling back and his face turning blue.
Carrot was subsequently rushed to the hospital, where he remained until his recent discharge.
