Shift Up promises that this sequel will take the narrative in an exciting “bold new direction.” The game introduces a fresh protagonist named Evie, who serves as a tribute to Eve from the original game.
The first Stellar Blade received a positive reception, achieving a score of 81 on Metacritic thanks to its stunning visuals and engaging combat mechanics. Blood Rain aims to enhance these aspects, as showcased in the extensive trailer released during the announcement.
