WhatsApp has released its latest monthly overview, detailing significant app updates that enhance user experience, including some features we’ve previously discussed and others that have been quietly introduced without much publicity.
Since April, WhatsApp has been consistently sharing its monthly feature updates to keep users informed about the latest functionalities and enhancements within the app, ensuring that everyone is aware of how these changes affect their chat experience.
This month’s update introduces exciting features such as animated emojis, custom avatar stickers, photo polls in channels, a new option for sharing Status, and much more.
To kick things off, WhatsApp has announced that animated emojis are now accessible in all chat conversations, adding an engaging and lively touch to your messaging experience.
Previously available in a limited capacity, this update allows a broader selection of emojis to move and wiggle on-screen, making chats more dynamic and visually appealing.
Additionally, WhatsApp has introduced an innovative animated sticker maker tool, which enables users to convert their videos into captivating moving stickers.
It functions similarly to a GIF maker embedded within WhatsApp, allowing users to utilize any video stored on their device to create unique animated stickers.
Furthermore, WhatsApp now allows users to share avatar social stickers with friends in one-on-one chats, enhancing personalization and engagement in conversations.

It’s important to note that this feature builds upon the avatar stickers introduced a couple of years ago, incorporating interactive social stickers that blend your avatar with a friend’s to create a shared image.
WhatsApp is also enhancing the group chat experience, now enabling users to create and personalize their groups even before other members join, streamlining the process of setting up new chats.
You can now also include shared captions when sending multiple photos and videos simultaneously. Additionally, there are new filters and effects options that elevate the quality of your video chats and still images.
WhatsApp has introduced new functionalities for channels, including the ability to include photos in polls and tag your favorite updates for easy access later.

Lastly, users can now tag groups in their Status updates, making it easier to engage with multiple contacts at once.
According to WhatsApp:
“Last year we made it possible to mention friends and family in your status. Now, you can also mention your groups. All members of the group will be notified in the group chat and will be able to reshare the status to their own.”
These updates may appear minor, but they significantly enhance existing functionalities, offering valuable improvements for your WhatsApp interactions.
