Engage in Extensive Conversations with Slackbot.
Adobe has launched an exciting new integration with Slack, introducing over 70 tools from its well-known applications directly into the communication platform. This integration includes powerful features from Adobe Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, and Lightroom. This means users can accomplish a wide array of tasks without needing to leave Slack.
If the figure of 70 tools seems familiar, it might be because Adobe recently unveiled a ChatGPT plugin that grants users on OpenAI’s platform access to “more than 70 tools across Adobe’s creative and productivity suites.” The functionality appears to be remarkably similar across both platforms.
The Adobe integration for Slack is currently available to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ users on web, mobile, and desktop versions. This rollout follows similar partnerships with Canva and Figma, which debuted when Slack introduced Model Context Protocol support for Slackbot in June. Notably, users do not need an Adobe account to utilize the Slack app, but having one will enable broader access to the available tools.
After installing the Adobe app on Slack, users can send tasks to Slackbot, which will utilize the most appropriate Adobe tools to fulfill the request. The Slackbot can access content from within Slack channels and Canvases as well as from Adobe Creative Cloud assets. Potential applications of these integrations include transforming a spreadsheet into a visually appealing format, creating marketing or social media content using templates, and performing bulk edits on numerous images.
