Two years ago, DC Comics unveiled its Absolute Universe, captivating readers with innovative takes on beloved heroes alongside fresh characters. For fans eagerly anticipating an event that unites these diverse figures, your excitement will culminate in 2027 with the upcoming series titled Absolute Justice.
During the New York Comic Con panel, DC Comics revealed an exhilarating five-part event crafted by the talented team of Jason Aaron and Absolute Superman artist Juan Ferreyra. With the help of Martian Manhunter, the heroes will band together, as the trailer hints at an imminent threat: retaliation.
In their respective storylines, the heroes have either confronted or caught the attention of the “true rulers” of the Absolute universe. Iconic villains like Ra’s al Ghul, the Joker, Hector Hammond, Veronica Cale, and Elenore Thawne form the Justice League, and they have seemingly reached their breaking point. The trailer suggests that the “Absolute League” will join forces against their mutual foes, but the same may hold true for the heroes. Time will tell.
The trailer prominently features the iconic stars from the first wave: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Jo Mullein, Martian Manhunter, and Flash adorn the cover illustrated by Ferreyra. Yet, questions remain regarding their supporting cast—will characters like Catwoman, Steel, and newer additions such as Cyborg and Atom play a role? All will be revealed when Absolute Justice launches in April 2027.
