T.I. and Tiny emerged victorious of their lawsuit towards toy firm MGA Leisure — and if the award stands, the couple will likely be an entire lot richer because of this.
A jury awarded the music duo a whopping $71 million after their weeks-long trial wrapped up Monday after discovering MGA violated the mental property rights of their teen pop group, OMG Girlz … based on Rolling Stone journal.
The jurors reportedly agreed that “L.O.L. Shock! O.M.G. dolls” infringed on the commerce gown and misappropriated the title, picture, and likeness of the all-female group that T.I. and Tiny shaped in 2009.
At trial, T.I. and Tiny zeroed in on 7 dolls MGA promoted that they argued had the an identical look of their OMG Girlz throughout “very particular public occasions,” together with the picture and likeness of Tiny’s oldest daughter, Zonnique Pullins.
Following the decision, Tiny celebrated their huge win exterior the federal courthouse in Santa Ana, California.
