The EarFun Air Pro 4 earbuds stand out as the top choice under $100, delivering performance that rivals earbuds priced twice as high. If you’re seeking an affordable option that exceeds expectations, these earbuds are an excellent choice.
At first glance, the Air Pro 4 earbuds appear similar to other budget models, but that’s where the comparison ends. Upon activation, we were immediately struck by the effectiveness of their active noise cancellation, which continued to impress during real-world testing amidst distractions like loud conversations. Once we paired these earbuds with their dedicated app, we discovered an impressive range of five noise cancellation levels, enhancing our listening experience.
As highlighted earlier, comfort plays a crucial role in selecting the best travel headphones. While the design isn’t revolutionary, we found that these earbuds stayed securely in place, outperforming several competitors, including the first-generation AirPods Pro. EarFun includes five different silicone ear tips, allowing users to customize their fit for optimal comfort.
Where do these earbuds reflect their budget-friendly price? Not in sound quality, which is impressively balanced and easily customizable through the app’s equalizer presets and custom EQ settings. The most noticeable drawback lies in the somewhat unreliable touch controls. For example, a single tap intended to pause music may be interpreted as a long press to activate noise cancellation. While you can disable the touch controls, doing so sacrifices a degree of convenience.
Despite our reservations about the touch controls, they weren’t overly sensitive. Even while wearing a hood, the earbuds did not mistakenly register fabric or hair as button presses, a common issue with other models we’ve evaluated.
Throughout our weeks of testing the Air Pro 4s, the battery only fully drained once, and we only needed to recharge them twice. you can confidently wear these earbuds during a five-hour flight without worrying about recharging mid-journey.
