YouTube is expanding its artificial intelligence-driven Ask YouTube feature on mobile, making it available to all users in the United States.

YouTube initially launched this feature for its Premium subscribers in April. The Ask YouTube option allows users to pose conversational queries and receive comprehensive responses grounded in contextual understanding.
As YouTube elaborated, “For example, you can ask for help planning a 3-day road trip from San Francisco to Santa Barbara, and you’ll get a structured, step-by-step itinerary instead of a list of videos.”

Users can also ask follow-up questions based on the initial answers they receive. The Ask YouTube feature is designed to account for the context of previous responses, offering a more interactive experience.
This expansion will provide U.S. users with access to YouTube’s sophisticated AI search capabilities, allowing all signed-in viewers aged 13 and older to utilize the feature across desktop, mobile, and TV devices.
The feature is poised to showcase YouTube’s extensive insights on various topics, enhancing product and service discovery, thereby making YouTube a more valuable platform for research purposes.
YouTube has indicated plans to roll out Ask YouTube to additional regions worldwide and in more languages, further enhancing its capacity for discovery across the platform.
