Shortly after the video circulated, which depicted items being taken from Kenya Moore’s hair spa, she provided a statement clarifying her circumstances. The reality television star revealed that she is in the process of relocating due to her landlord’s alleged failure to reimburse her for significant expenses. Kenya indicated that she is prepared to file a countersuit, having already selected her court outfit.

“I have spent the last several weeks moving out of my salon as a result of my ongoing legal battle with the landlord who has failed to reimburse me nearly $80K of improvement funds I am rightfully owed. My only recourse was to withhold rent and file a countersuit. I already have my outfit laid out for court chile!” Kenya stated in her announcement.

In her message, she expressed heartfelt gratitude towards her supporters and emphasized that while her salon might be closing, she is excitedly anticipating a transformative new chapter in her career. “To all the amazing women and men who came in and twirled out in style, thank you from the bottom of my heart!” Moore continued, “The salon chapter is closing, trust me, it’s not the end. Brit Eady Offers Commentary as Kenya’s Salon Transition Unfolds

Prior to Kenya Moore’s statement regarding the footage of items being taken from her salon, her former ‘RHOA’ co-star Brit Eady shared her own insights. Brit posted a video on social media, showcasing herself arriving in her vehicle while boxes were visibly stacked outside the spa. In her post, she remarked, “Never win when you play dirty.” Her comments followed previous accusations against Kenya, alleging that she shared compromising photographs of her during a salon event in 2024. Insights on Kenya’s Ongoing Legal Dispute Over Salon Space

The footage showing items being removed from Kenya Moore’s salon comes after a report from TMZ indicated that she owed her landlord a substantial amount of $87,976. In April 2025, Northland Chamblee LLC, her landlord, initiated eviction proceedings, seeking $30,000 in overdue rent and claiming Kenya had ceased payments since December 2024. By October, the outstanding balance reportedly exceeded $44,000. Kenya Moore Hair Spa disputed these claims, asserting that the landlord failed to fulfill promised renovations to the property. A Georgia judge later set two deadlines for Kenya to pay $43,988 by the end of February and another $43,988 by the end of March, while also mandating her company to continue paying approximately $5,500 in monthly rent unless she vacated the premises.

As Kenya fell behind on these court-ordered payments, the eviction process began to advance. Based on Brit Eady’s video, it seems this process initiated recently. In February, Kenya denied any wrongdoing regarding her financial obligations, asserting that her landlord was the one in default, as she claimed to have invested significantly in building her salon without receiving reimbursement.

“The reports about me being behind on rent are false. As I have stated before, my company is in an active lawsuit against my salon landlord for failing to pay nearly $80,000 in tenant improvement allowance OWED TO ME. I invested over $300,000 of my own money to build out my salon in a commercial space from a white box. When the landlord failed to reimburse contractual expenses, I withheld rent in an effort to reach a fair settlement, and subsequently filed a countersuit for the amount they failed to reimburse.”
