TLC’s Chilli claims she accidentally shared a negative post about former first lady Michelle Obama on social media. She stated that any political donations she made were intended to support veterans.
A report surfaced over the weekend claiming that Chilli had reshared a conspiracy theory about Michelle. It also alleged that she donated to political action campaigns linked to Trump and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
The report went viral, generating mixed reactions from fans. This prompted Chilli to respond in a video obtained by TMZ.
In her video, Chilli stated, “I wanted to come on here to address a few things circulating on the internet that are very concerning to me.”
Chilli expressed her “utmost respect and admiration” for Michelle Obama. She emphasized that she would never say or do anything “that is disrespectful to her or to any woman.”
Chilli revealed that she had “no clue that this repost” had occurred until she received phone calls from people. She stated that she immediately checked her page and found she accidentally clicked the repost button on Instagram. Chilli quickly removed the post after discovering it on her profile.
Chilli affirmed her support for President Obama and Michelle Obama. “I would never do anything that is harmful or hateful to anybody,” she stated.
Regarding her donations, Chilli explained that the organizations she supports are “the things that support the veterans.” She emphasized her long-standing commitment to supporting veterans.
