Microsoft has officially launched the highly anticipated Surface Laptop 5G, adding a cutting-edge device to its innovative computing lineup tailored for business customers. Back in January, the tech giant hinted at the introduction of a 5G option for its business-oriented products during the unveiling of updates for the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop for Business. This much-requested feature aims to enhance the portability and connectivity of the laptop, allowing professionals to stay productive while on the go. Equipped with a sophisticated system of six internal antennas, the Surface 5G is designed to seamlessly switch between WiFi and cellular networks, furthermore, it can also function as a mobile hotspot for other devices, enabling versatile connectivity options for users.
In terms of specifications, the Surface 5G boasts a striking 13.8-inch display and is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors, ensuring high performance and efficiency. It is equipped with a Neural Processing Unit capable of executing over 40 trillion operations per second (TOPS), which is essential for integration into Microsoft’s advanced AI programs. While pricing details have yet to be disclosed, the Surface Laptop 5G is expected to commence shipments on August 26, marking a significant addition to the business laptop market.
